Description
One man in Wimauma says he’s been facing sleepless nights because of a construction site behind his home.
“It’s terrifying, and I hate to say that, but when you constantly hear it, you just wonder what’s going on here,” Larry Fingerhoot said.
Larry Fingerhoot says the first time he was woken up by the construction on West Lake Drive, it was around 2:30 in the morning, and he rushed outside to see what was going on.
Since then, this has been a sonic nightmare for months.
“We have a lot of beeps, the beeps of the cement truck, the beeps of their equipment, it’s unreal, it really is,” he said. “I understand you’ve gotta keep working and keep your construction up, but why don’t you start at 5:30 or 6.”
Fingerhoot says he has had other problems with the site since the summer. He says burning being done on the property left ash and dust in his neighborhood.
