Description
The Courtney Campbell Causeway heading to Tampa is closed to traffic following a crash, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
The crash reportedly happened in the eastbound lanes before 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Traffic cameras show several law enforcement vehicles have responded with their emergency lights, though the exact nature of the crash is unclear. It's also unknown whether anyone was hurt.
Drivers heading into the evening rush can consider taking the Howard Frankland Bridge or the Gandy Bridge to cross Tampa Bay to get to Tampa.
