In Hillsborough County, there is a growing need for sexual assault resources. But one new Florida law is speeding up the process for survivors to get justice. In April 2023, the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay opened a second Rape Crisis Location in the southern part of the county. The Ruskin location has already provided sexual assault services to dozens of people in Hillsborough County. After a traumatic sexual assault, survivors in Hillsborough County all receive sexual assault testing through the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay.
