A man wanted by police in a downtown St. Petersburg shooting earlier this month has turned himself in. Police said 20-year-old Deronke Barron turned himself into the Pinellas County Jail on Tuesday afternoon — a day after the police department publicly identified him as the suspect. The shooting happened around 12:45 a.m. on Oct. 7 as a group of men got into a fight on the sidewalk on 3rd Street North near Central Avenue.
