A woman and the suspected shooter are dead following an apparent murder-suicide at a Sarasota vet clinic, according to law enforcement. Deputies responded just after 5 p.m. Wednesday to the KindVet of Sarasota Urgent Care, located at 3900 Clark Road, following reports of shots fired, Sarasota County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Evan Keats said. Once at the scene, law enforcement discovered two women — the suspect and victim, Keats continued. One was taken to an area hospital where they died from their injuries. It's believed the shooter, a former employee, fired upon the woman before killing herself.
