Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd provided few details about a homicide investigation that began overnight in unincorporated Winter Haven. The sheriff's office said the murder happened on St. Paul Drive near Winter Lake Road, also known as State Road 540. In a news conference Tuesday morning, Judd said that the victim was found dead in the driveway of a house on St. Paul Drive. He was a 15-year-old Black teenager who, as of yesterday, was formally documented as a gang member.
