Description
Tropical Storm Idalia is forecast to be a major, Category 3 hurricane when it makes landfall by midweek somewhere along Florida's Gulf coast, bringing an array of impacts, including a "life-threatening" storm surge, gusty winds and heavy rain.
A hurricane watch is in effect from Englewood to Indian Pass — this includes the Tampa Bay region. A storm surge watch is in effect for Chokoloskee to Indian Pass, Florida, including Tampa Bay.
