The tropics are showing signs of renewed life after a somewhat slow start to the Atlantic hurricane season with the formation of Subtropical Storm Don. It's still early days, however. Don formed early Friday, our fourth named storm of the season, the latest advisory from the National Hurricane Center said. Currently, it's got maximum sustained winds of 35 mph and is slowly moving east at 9 mph.
