Drivers who normally take Kennedy Boulevard in Tampa were asked to find an alternate route for several hours Friday morning. This was because authorities had to shut down a portion of the road while fire crews worked to put out a house fire. Around 6 a.m., Tampa police said fire crews were working an "active structure fire" in the area of Kennedy Boulevard and South Lincoln Avenue.
