Deputies responded Monday afternoon to Lake Tarpon where a body was found. Detectives identified the man as 50-year-old Mark Mayer, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said in an update. Authorities say Mayer left his home at around 7 p.m. Sunday in his 19-foot Tracker boat and did not return home. That's when his family reported him missing. At around 11:30 a.m., law enforcement found Mayer and his boat, which looked to have struck the dock located at 3723 Mullenhurst Drive in Palm Harbor, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
