A person onboard a small banner plane died after it crashed Wednesday afternoon near a shopping plaza near Fort Lauderdale, according to CBS Miami. It happened around 12:45 p.m. at 450 N Park Road, which is less than four minutes from Memorial Regional Hospital. The plane was fully engulfed in flames when fire rescue crews arrived at the scene, CBS Miami reported. It's believed at least one person was onboard; additional information was not immediately available.
