A proposal to close a majority-minority elementary school along coveted property along the Hillsborough River has drawn criticism from local community and civil rights leaders. According to documents from Hillsborough County Public Schools, the district is asking the school board to consider closing Just Elementary on Spruce Street and send students to Booker T.
