Two people died and 15 others were injured after a bridge collapsed in Colombia's western province of Valle del Cauca on Wednesday, according to local media reports. Rescue workers were called to the scene of the collapsed bridge over La Vieja River in the municipality of La Tebaida, which connects the areas of Quindio and Valle del Cauca. The two deadly victims, who were both police officers, were traveling on board a vehicle that was trapped between the concrete slabs that fell into the river. Two other trucks and a private car crossing the bridge were also trapped. Some of the victims managed to get escape from their vehicles with some injuries.
