A deadly crash Tuesday morning in Polk County shut down part of U.S. 27 for several hours. Deputies responded around 6:07 a.m. to the area of U.S. 27 North near Polo Park Boulevard, which is in Davenport in the Four Corners area. Traffic appeared to be backed up for at least several miles. The Polk County Sheriff's Office said five vehicles were reportedly involved in the crash. Two people died as a result of the crash and at least four people were seriously hurt.
