Description
A three-hour standoff with an armed man inside a St. Petersburg boarding house ended with the man being rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, police said in a news release.
The standoff with police began overnight when police said they were called just before midnight to a boarding house in the area of 29th Street N and 2nd Avenue N near the Grand Central District.
A police spokesperson said the man was threatening some people at the boarding home, prompting the call to law enforcement. Police said multiple people were evacuated from the home.
