For four years, Virginia Lebigre has been hoping to determine the cause of her unbearable pain, which began with her first period but was not detected by medical imaging. The 30-year-old is taking part in a clinical study to evaluate the usefulness of a saliva test for diagnosing endometriosis. Conducted at around 100 sites, including Lyon Sud Hospital, the clinical study has been available since mid-March and is reimbursed to eligible patients through a special exemption scheme.
