American companies are “really motivated to work” in Africa, says the CEO of Ivorian construction giant Porteo Group. “They're all motivated, and I've seen American companies ready to go right now, immediately,” Hassan Dakhlallah tells AFP in an interview on the sidelines of the World Bank and IMF spring meetings in Washington. "It's a new dynamic, a new desire to really contribute", adds Mr. Dakhlallah, who at the invitation of the US Chamber of Commerce will take part on Friday in a round table on accelerating US investment in Africa's strategic infrastructure, where he hopes to secure "win-win" partnerships around a portfolio of projects worth over $5.8 billion.
