Description
In Ghana, parishioners in Accra react to the possibility of having an African pope as the Catholic Church prepares for a conclave to choose its next leader. Ghana's Cardinal Peter Turkson is a potential candidate, and as Africa's share of the Catholic population booms, renewed attention has turned to whether the Church is ready for its first black pope. "I know that he would do a very great job. So, for me, I'm looking for one who is qualified. If he happens to be the African, yes, why not," says Alexander James Kotei. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
