Reform UK leader Nigel Farage says his hard-right party is now the main opposition party after snatching a parliamentary seat from Prime Minister Keir Starmer's Labour in local elections that dealt a blow to Britain's two establishment parties. “We now are the opposition party in the United Kingdom to the Labour Party, and the Tories, frankly, are a waste of space,” Farage says at the vote count centre for the Runcorn and Helsby by-election.
