The German capital's sombre Holocaust memorial, an arrangement of 2,711 concrete stelae which has drawn millions of visitors, marks its 20th anniversary this month. But fears are growing that Germany's strong tradition of remembrance is starting to erode. "I believe that in these times, such a memorial is more important than ever," says memorial director Uwe Neumarker, citing a rise in support for the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD).
