Palestinians inspect the wreckage of a building in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip that was hit by overnight Israeli strikes. Gaza's civil defence agency say they recovered 15 dead and 10 wounded, most of them women and children, after strikes hit three apartments in a residential tower in the al-Karama neighbourhood of Jabalia, northwest of Gaza City. Israel's security cabinet has approved the expansion of military operations in Gaza including the "conquest" of the Palestinian territory, an official says, after the army called up tens of thousands of reservists for the offensive.
