Description
A group of Mormon women from the organisation Mormon Women for Ethical Government gather in front of the US Capitol, hand-sewing quilts stitched with messages about peace, democracy, and constitutional values, including messages like "No one is illegal," "We are all immigrants," and "A government of laws and not of men." Rooted in Utah's conservative faith community, the group is delivering each quilt—crafted by women across the country—to individual senators as a symbol of cross-partisan concern for ethical governance. "These quilts are a sign of women coming together, amplifying one another's voices," says a member of the group. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
