Photos of Abdullah Ocalan, leader of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), as the party announces its dissolution and the end of more than four decades of armed struggle against the Turkish state, the pro-Kurd ANF news agency has reported. Ocalan, who has been jailed for more than 25 years, founded the PKK in the late 1970s, with the group taking up arms in 1984 and beginning a string of attacks against the Turkish state that would cost more than 40,000 lives.
