Description
People attend the funeral of Yesenia Lara, the Mexican candidate to the mayor's office of Texistepec who was murdered.
Lara was shot while she walked with supporters in Texistepec, in the state of Veracruz, which because of its location on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico makes it a coveted territory for drug trafficking cartels. Veracruz will hold elections on June 1 to renew authorities in 212 municipalities.
