The Harris County Sheriff's Office said a child custody exchange Thursday night in the parking lot of a Family Dollar ended with an exchange of gunfire between a 3-year-old's father and the child's mother's new boyfriend. "The child was handed over to the mother, then the two males became involved in some sort of verbal altercation, which then led to gunfire," HCSO Det. Corey Castro said.
