A small cross marks the spot where family members say 39-year-old Douglas Hippe died early Tuesday morning after police said a next-door neighbor shot him during some sort of confrontation. "I've known Douglas since I was like 12, 13, something like that," brother-in-law Christopher Gonzales said. Gonzales said he was inside at the time of the shooting. "There's some scuffling, then I heard a gunshot and heard kind of a faint 'ouch' kind of sound," Gonzales said.
