Description
Friday won't be a washout, but there will be several opportunities for rain, starting in the morning.
Scattered showers will be joined by a few thunderstorms later in the day and into the evening, some of which could contain gusty winds and hail.
Most of the showers will quickly come to an end as a cold front swings through central Ohio overnight into Saturday morning.
A few lingering showers could continue into early Saturday morning, which means a small chance for some light rain during a portion of the Cap City Half Marathon, but overall it should be good running weather - cool, breezy and dry.
As the day progresses, skies will brighten, but temperatures will only climb into the low 60s.
Sunday will be a pleasant end to the weekend, with more sunshine and warmer temps, with highs near 70.
The warmer weather will continue, with highs toward the 80s heading into Tuesday.
The next weather system takes aim at central Ohio late Tuesday into Wednesday, bringing the chance of rain and storms back to the forecast. There are indications that some of the late Tuesday storms could be strong.
Lingering showers and low 70s will follow by next Wednesday, with moderating temperatures back to end the week.
