Description
A Littleton man has died months after falling nearly 50 feet from a chairlift at Keystone Ski Resort.
Family members identified Donovan Romero as the 32-year-old who was injured at Keystone Ski Resort on Dec. 11.
The 32-year-old snowboarder, who did not have the chairlift restraint bar down at the time of the fall, suffered a traumatic brain injury and never regained consciousness. His mother, Tonette Romero, is now advocating for policy changes at Colorado ski resorts, calling for mandatory use of the safety bars by resort staff.
Romero was airlifted to a hospital after the accident, where he was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury and underwent emergency surgery.
