A man convicted of murder and other charges for the killing of East Colfax community activist Ma Kaing was sentenced Friday afternoon. A Denver District Court judge sentenced Lu Reh to life in prison without the possibility of parole. In February, Reh was convicted of first-degree murder and multiple counts of attempted murder in connection with the death of Kaing, who was shot and killed by a stray bullet on July 15, 2022, in the 1300 block of North Xenia Street.
