Description
CDOT has started summer construction again on Vail Pass and this summer drivers will be impacted more than ever. CDOT crews are installing an eastbound auxiliary lane an eastbound bridge, wildlife fencing and a new avalanche mitigation fence along I-70 near Vail Pass. That work will mean rock scaling operations along with East and westbound I-70 closures starting in June Monday through Friday 9 AM to 2:30 PM. At the same time, CDOT will be doing rock blasting enclosures for the Floyd Hill project. People can sign up for text alerts through CDOT to narrow down the times of blasting so they don’t get stuck in both closures.
