Thornton Police arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with the attempted abduction of a teenage girl near Thornton Middle School. Police identified the suspect as Steven Houseman. The principal of Thornton High School said in a letter to families that the suspect is a student at that school. About 11:20 a.m. Monday, a 15-year-old girl was walking near the school when a man tried to grab her. The girl resisted, and the man fled, police said.
