A 16-year-old boy was arrested after deputies said he shot his father during a fight at a home in Riverview. The incident happened around 10:50 p.m. Wednesday on Bright Crystal Avenue, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said in a news release. Deputies arrived at the home to find the boy's father, Timothy Carter Sr., suffering from gunshot wounds. The 37-year-old father was taken to the hospital, where the agency says he is in critical condition but stable. As the investigation continued, deputies learned that the teen had fled the home before their arrival. He was eventually found at another home within the city of Tampa before he was arrested.
