Investigators are working to find out what led to an alligator attack Tuesday afternoon in Lake Kissimmee. Polk County deputies responded just after 4 p.m. to assist the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Two people were kayaking in the lake when an alligator attacked one of them, the sheriff's office said. The extent of the kayaker's injuries is not clear. The Polk County Sheriff's Office helicopter and marine unit are responding along with deputies from Osceola County.
