Deputies are investigating a bomb threat that forced passengers to evacuate a flight leaving from St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport on Friday evening. A spokesperson for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said it happened on an Allegiant Air flight but did not provide further details. No one was injured and there is currently no threat to the public, according to the sheriff's office. The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that the airport is closed.
