April 28 on The Story: Earlier this month, President Donald Trump abruptly called a 90-day pause on his widespread "reciprocal" tariffs, leaving in place a baseline 10% tariff and substantially hiking tariffs on China in particular. While that move prompted a partial recovery of the nose-diving stock market, it left many U.S. businesses facing higher costs and continuing uncertainty. KGW investigative reporter Evan Watson wanted to get a better sense of how those ongoing tariffs are impacting business owners in the Portland area, so he profiled three who agreed to speak in detail about their experiences thus far.
