Description
A 13-year-old boy has died after he struck a metal cable when riding an electric bicycle on Friday in Everett, according to police.
The Everett Police Department said the teen was riding an e-bike at about 4:30 p.m. along 5th Avenue West when he struck a braided cable strung across a lot near the 8800 block of 5th Avenue. Police said the cable was between a fence post and a traffic bollard.
Police responded to the crash within three minutes of dispatch. The 13-year-old, identified as Emiliano Munoz, was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where he died from his injuries on Monday, May 5.
