Description
After threats of gun violence at his student's elementary school, a Snohomish father says he is afraid to send his child to school. More than scared, he is also angry.
"I'm angry that one student could be allowed to disrupt and impact the learning of everyone in the classroom, and nothing is being done about it," said the father, who agreed to speak with KING 5 under the condition of anonymity because he fears for his child's safety.
On March 26, a fifth-grade student at Machias Elementary School in the Snohomish School District allegedly brought what was believed to be a real gun to a bus stop and threatened to put students on a "hit list."
Parents tell KING 5 the weapon was determined to be a police training gun and was not capable of firing.
