Federal hate crime charges have been filed against the suspect taken into custody after eight people were injured in an attack on the Pearl Street Mall Sunday afternoon. Mohamed Soliman, 45, is also facing various charges of first-degree attempted murder and use of an incendiary device. The attack happened around 1:30 p.m. in the area of the historic courthouse at 1235 Pearl St. Police said eight victims aged 52 to 88 were taken to hospitals. At least one had serious injuries.
