One person is dead after an RV caught fire in Lakeland on Saturday morning, according to Polk County Fire Rescue (PCFR). Just before noon, crews were dispatched to a working structure fire on Combee Road. After arriving, they reportedly found an RV fully engulfed in flames with someone "potentially" trapped inside. PCFR said firefighters were able to extinguish the flames and found one person dead at the scene. No additional injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. The Florida State Fire Marshals Office and the Polk County Sheriff's Office are investigating.
