Description
The search continues for Derrick Groves and Antoine Massey, the last two fugitives still on the run following the May 16, 2025, mass escape from the Orleans Justice Center. Multiple law enforcement agencies held a press conference on May 29, 2025, to discuss the next phase of the manhunt.
Crimestoppers GNO, alongside Louisiana State Police, the FBI, ATF, U.S. Marshals and the New Orleans Police Department, held the joint press conference to provide updates and announce reward efforts aimed at locating the escapees.
A $20,000 reward had been offered per fugitive for information that leads to their capture. That reward remained in effect, and law enforcement officials said they are continuing to follow leads across Louisiana and neighboring states.
The fugitives — Antoine Massey, a repeat escapee with a decades-long criminal history, and Derrick Groves, who was jailed on narcotics charges — evaded capture since the breakout. Massey was recently the subject of a police search in Natchez, Mississippi after a reported sighting there.
