Description
The 10 Weather Impact team continues the Weather Impact Alert for Friday for the first half of the day due to disruptive weather expected. The threat of heavy rain and even some storms begins early in the morning, with isolated activity into afternoon.
For those attending the Memorial Tournament today, stay up-to-date with the forecast on the 10TV app, and have a plan in place in case of delays. Remember, when thunder roars, head indoors as that means lightning is close enough to strike.
Where the heaviest rain falls we could see between and inch and up to 1.5" in some of the soggiest spots, which continues to trend south of I-70. North of I-70, including Columbus, an inch or less of rain is likely by this evening.
While there will be isolated showers and a storm possible afternoon and evening, the coverage and intensity will be minimal.
Heading into the weekend, a weak front will slide through Ohio early Saturday, but with little moisture to work with, there will only be a few showers overnight into the morning, before we dry out and see more sunshine through the day.
Temperatures will be around 70, with northwest breezes.
More sunshine and warmer temperatures on Sunday as we kick off June!
Temperatures will finally get back to average and then soar into the low to mid 80s and trending dry as we head through the middle of next week, with the next shot of showers & possible storms holding off until Thursday.
