Description
We're off to a foggy start for some areas this morning! Visibilities are low and under 1/2 mile at times. Take it slow and keep your low beams on through the morning commute. The fog will clear and we'll get some sunshine later today with temperatures reaching the mid-70s. Overall conditions will be decent for the kickoff of the Memorial Tournament!
The 10 Weather Impact team is issuing a Weather Impact Alert for Friday due to disruptive weather expected. The threat of rain and even some storms begins early in the morning on Friday before sunrise and could continue into the afternoon and possibly early evening.
For those attending the Memorial Tournament on Friday, it will be very important to stay up-to-date with the forecast and have plans in place in case of delays and cancellations due to heavy downpours and the potential for storms. Remember, when thunder roars, head indoors as that means lightning is close enough to strike.
Overall rainfall amounts will quickly total to around one inch, and some south of I-70 may easily see up to two inches or more by the end of the day.
Heading into the weekend, a weak front will slide through Ohio early Saturday, but with little moisture to work with, there will only be a few showers in the morning, before we dry out and see more sunshine through the day. Temperatures will be around 70, with northwest breezes.
More sunshine and warmer temperatures on Sunday as we kick off June! Temperatures will finally get back to average and then soar into the low 80s and trending dry as we head through the middle of next week.
