Clouds and a few showers are around Wednesday as a storm system continues to meander through Ohio. Today you should expect slightly milder temperatures, but also the chance of scattered rain and storms continuing through the evening. We're not expecting any of those storms to be severe, but some of the stronger storms could have gusty winds and heavy downpours during the afternoon. With the warmer and more humid weather on Thursday and Friday, the atmosphere will become prime for the chances of thunderstorm development, especially during the afternoon. However the biggest risk right now will come with a line of storms after dark Thursday and into early Friday. That's when severe weather, mostly wind and hail, could be possible. Confidence remains low at this time due to a number of complicating factors, but you should remain alert regardless. While the ingredients will be in place for potentially strong storms, it's not clear yet if those ingredients will come together at the same time. Severe weather chances appear higher the further north and west you travel from I-70.
