Environmental activist Claire Nouvian, founder of the marine conservation group Bloom, denounces what she calls an "environmental scam" just hours after French President Emmanuel Macron opened the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC) in Nice. Nouvian criticises the French government's newly announced plan to extend marine protected areas and restrict bottom trawling in 4 percent of national waters, pointing out that those areas are already off-limits, rendering the move misleading.
