Miguel Uribe "has managed to unite this country in a single voice that repudiates violence", says his father after visiting the Colombian senator and presidential hopeful in hospital following an assassination attempt.
Supporters gather outside Bogota's Santa Fe clinic to pray for Uribe's health, who was shot twice in the head at close range by a 15-year-old alleged hitman while campaigning in the capital.
