Description
The Atlantic basin is littered with disturbances, but none of them poses a threat to our part of the Gulf Coast.
The closest feature to us is an area of disturbed weather in the eastern Gulf of Mexico. This will drift westward across the Gulf on Monday. Models don't show a strong system forming from this, but it does have a medium chance of becoming a depression or storm as it heads toward the Texas coast by Tuesday. For us, we're not expecting any big impacts. A few passing showers or storms could swing through our southern parishes on Monday, but north of the lake and maybe even some southern spots will miss out on the rain. We'll also have a breezy Monday with east winds at 10-20 mph. By early Tuesday, the low pressure will have moved into Texas.
