Chief Meteorologist Chris Franklin says the National Hurricane Center is now highlighting an area in the Gulf of Mexico for a low chance of development sometime early next week as a weak system or a depression. There are two other areas in the Atlantic, but it appears they will be headed away from the Gulf.
