We are tracking two tropical waves in the Atlantic. One wave, Invest 92, has a high chance of developing into a depression. The first one is Invest 92-L and will likely become a tropical depression or tropical storm early this week. It is moving westward over very warm water which could help it develop. Long-range models take it toward the Caribbean Sea this week. One model indicates that it will turn northward and head into the middle of the ocean. A different model continues its trek through the Caribbean as a much weaker storm. It is too early to give a definitive forecast on its intensity and exact track, so for now we'll keep watching. It is too far away to be any threat to us at this time.
