Description
It's June 1st and you know what that means. On this first day of the 2023 Hurricane Season we don't have much to worry about locally. There is low pressure in the eastern Gulf of Mexico, about 300 miles southeast of New Orleans. The low pressure has become better organized overnight and could become a short-lived depression or storms. Hurricane Hunters are scheduled to check it out this afternoon. With wind shear and dry air dominating the Gulf don't expect it to blow up into much. The low will move slowly today, then finally move south towards Cuba by Friday and Saturday. That's when it will get shredded by wind shear and dry air. The first name this year is Arlene.
