Description
The National Hurricane Center is tracking an area of disturbed weather about 600 miles east of Miami. The chances of this system developing much is very low as wind shear kicks in. Regardless, the area of storms associated with it will lift north and then eventually northeast this week staying in the Atlantic.
While not highlighted yet by the NHC, another area of low pressure could develop off the east coast later this week. If a system develops it would be more than likely be subtropical in nature as it's tied to an upper-level low over the Eastern US. It could bring rain towards the Carolinas by the end of this week. No impacts expected along the Gulf Coast. The first name on the list is Arlene and the 2023 Atlantic Hurricane Season officially starts June 1st.
